The “Jane” was part of the new “Saint Laurent” collection (not sure what happened here but it looks like the official name changed yet YSL was still being used on some products… confusing). Anyway, I don’t remember where I first saw these classic, chic, simple sandals but all I know is that I wanted them in my collection right away. So I searched and they were sold out everywhere, I mean “pata pata” out of the black leather (black satin and red leather were available).

I prefer to try on my shoes before purchase even if I eventually get them online, it just helps with getting the right pair initially… ok so moving on, I ended up going to Nordstrom (my fave store ever) and there it was… the “Jane”, I tried them on and they are perfect.
Now when it comes to comfort, due to the thin strap across the toes, it can hurt and pinky toe after having them on for a while but I don’t mind as these are classics and will match every outfit you could possibly think of for years to come.
